The School Day

The school day is as follows:

Families and children wait on the front concourse and then go straight into school as soon as the doors are open. 

School gate open and arrival: 08.35am

School start time: 08.40am

Morning first lesson & registration: 08.40 - 09.00 - the register is taken at 8.55am

Morning Lessons 09:00 – 10:30

Collective Worship 10:30 – 10:45     (Collective worship times vary – please see site timetables)

 

Break 10:45 – 11:00 

Mid-Morning Lessons 11:00 – 12:00 (KS2 11.00-12.15pm)

Lunch 12:00 – 13:00 (KS2 12.15-1pm)

Afternoon Lessons 13:00 – 15:10

School day ends at: 15:10  

 

Punctuality:

At The Nar Valley Federation, all pupils are expected to arrive on time for every day of the school year.

 The school register is taken at 8.55 am. All pupils arriving after this time are required to report to the main office with their parents, who will be expected to sign the late book and provide a reason for their absence.

If their arrival is before it will be recorded as late - L code (Late before the close of register).

The school register formally closes at 9.25am. All pupils arriving on or after this time will be marked as having an unauthorised absence for the morning session - U code (Late after the close of register).
