To find out how light travels and why we can see reflections we set up an experiment with mirrors and string.
Amazingly, we can see behind us when using a mirror. We now know that light travels in straight lines, but how does the light get from its source to our eyes when the object is behind us?
It is reflected off surfaces until it eventually reaches our eyes. We discovered that everything had to be at the correct angle to see the object in the mirror as the light gets reflected off an object at the same angle as it hits it.
